On 21st March 2019, Vince Szakolczai-Sándor suffered a cervical spinal cord injury at birth and became paralysed from the neck down.
Since his birth he is on mechanical ventilation. For short periods he can be without his machine.
Vince spent his first 2 and a half years in hospitals in Budapest, Hungary. He moved home to be with his family on 7th October 2021.
We came together under the Vince Együtt Velünk (VEV) (in English “Vince Together with Us”) Association to find worthy solutions that serve to improve Vince’s quality of life and contribute to unfolding and nurturing his personality.
The 53 Founding Members formulated the following main objectives in the summer of 2020:
- Support the provision of necessary and effective development and treatment methods for Vince in accordance with the current state of science.
- Foster the integration of Vince into his family.
- Implement the above objectives with a positive attitude.
The scope of activities of the Association are described in detail in the Statutes of the Association found under the ‘Documents’ tab.
We believe that by giving it our all and taking action, endless possibilities will arise.
Let’s go Vince, Let’s go VEV!
